Suffering from Dandruff: Here are 11most used recipes to fight against it.

I hope you are doing wonderful, I'm doing great. Today. I would like to address the subject of dandruff. Do you feel helpless when facing these small white flakes that invade your scalp and hair a few days after you have washed your hair? you are certainly not alone. Many women, including myself, and men suffer from this problem every day. Some have already tried everything, but nothing has worked. In this mini article, I will define the word dandruff, give the causes, symptoms, risk factors, and finally the different natural recipes that can be used to fight against them.


Definition of dandruff



Dandruff are fragments of dander that break off, spread through the hair, or fall on the shoulders. They are due to excessive flaking of the skin of the scalp. Dandruff does not in fact depend on the amount of hair, nor on the constant washing of the hair, but rather on the health of the scalp.


Causes of dandruff:


Dandruff is caused by several factors which include:

• Skin cells that grow quickly and die. The cause of the phenomenon is not very clear.

• The excessive activity of Malasezzia (fungus which is part of the biotope of the scalp). It feeds on the sebum produced by the scalp

• The overreaction of the immune system to this fungus

• Stress, illnesses,

• The climate (very hot, cold and dry, harsh and dry winters)

• Seborrhea (disease caused by the bacteria Staphylococci epidermiques)

• Very oily and irritated scalp

• Dry skin sensitive to hair products

• You don't wash your head enough.

• Other skin diseases such as eczema, psoriasis, etc.


Symptoms:


Symptoms are manifested by:

• The appearance of skin scales on the scalp, hair, eyebrows, etc.

• Itchy scalp.


Risk factors:


The risk factors are as follows:

Age: usually starts in young adults and continues until middle age, it can even last a lifetime. Gender: being a man is a risk factor. Some researchers believe that male hormones are the cause. Certain illnesses such as Parkinson's disease, and other illnesses. neurodegenerative can increase the risk of developing dandruff. People with HIV or people with compromised or weakened immune systems.



Natural recipes to fight against dandruff:

Oils:

Note: If you have a dry scalp (you have dandruff), don't think by applying the oil will get rid of those dandruff. Rather, it will make the situation worse and create even more dandruff especially if you let this oil sit on the scalp for a long time.


As natural recipes we have:


Egg Yolk:



Egg yolk contains biotin which is a major vitamin for fighting dandruff. Method: separate the white from the egg yolk. Apply the egg yolk on a scalp and dry hair. Cover your head and leave to act for 1 hour. Wash and rinse with a mild shampoo.

Recommendation: you can do this every time you take a bath, but no more than 3 times a week.


Lemon+ Amla



This combination is really deadly for dry scalp. The citric combination of the 2 ingredients promotes the reduction of the formation of dead cells and the nourishment of the hair roots. Method: mix in equal quantity the lemon juice + the amla juice. Soak a cotton bulb with the solution and pass it over the scalp. Let stand for 30 min, then rinse with water.

Recommendation: do this every time you start your hair routine.


Lemon + Coconut Oil:



Coconut oil nourishes the scalp; with adding lemon juice, both can be an effective remedy for dandruff.

Method: heat 2 tablespoons of coconut oil and mix with 2 tablespoons of lemon juice. Apply to the scalp and massage it gently. Leave to act for 20 minutes and then rinse with a mild shampoo. (Recipe highly recommended).

Recommendation: do this every time you start your hair routine.



Lemon+Yogurt:




This combination has a double action on the head thanks to the action of enzymes and the acidity of yogurt. It removes dandruff immediately. Method: mix 2 tablespoons of yogurt with a tablespoon of lemon juice. Apply the mixture to the scalp and let it sit for 30 minutes. Rinse with a mild shampoo.

Recommendation: do it every time you start your hair routine.



Lemon+Honey:



This mixture helps control fungal activity below the skin. Honey helps keep the scalp hydrated thereby reducing the itching and dryness that causes dandruff. Method: mix a teaspoon of lemon juice + 3 tablespoon of honey. Apply the mixture on the scalp and leave on for 20 minutes. Rinse with a mild shampoo.

Recommendation: for best results, repeat the ritual once every 3-4 days.

Lemon + Egg:



This mixture just works wonders not only on dry scalp, but all over hair in general. It slows down the production of dead cells that cause dandruff. The egg is an excellent conditioner that helps exfoliate the skin from the inside Method: mix a beaten egg with a tablespoon of lemon juice. Apply to the scalp and leave on for 30 minutes. Wash with a mild shampoo, rinse with cold water.

Recommendation: do this every time you start your hair routine.

Lemon + Tea:



This mixture forms a powerful antimicrobial. The antioxidant properties of tea and silt make it a good medicine for getting rid of dandruff and rejuvenating the skin.

Method: mix 2 teaspoon of tea powder with half a glass of hot water. Let stand, cool, strain, and add a teaspoon of lemon juice. Apply this mixture on the scalp and let stand 20 minutes, rinse with water. Recommendation: do this every time you go to wash your hair for best results.



Apple Cider Vinegar:



Apple cider vinegar is used to treat itching, dry skin and kills bacteria and fungi that cause dandruff. Method: mix equal quantities of apple cider vinegar and water and apply it to the scalp. Let sit for 30 minutes before washing your head with your shampoo.

Recommendation: do this every time you wash your hair or once every 2 days.



Baking soda:



Baking soda exfoliates the scalp without irritating it by removing dead cells. Exfoliation is important to prevent the formation of oil and other deposits on the scalp. These deposits are what make dandruff more visible. Method: just add baking soda to your shampoo when you wash your hair

Recommendation: do this every time you start your hair routine. Note: be careful with this recipe because, the baking soda is alkaline meanwhile our hair is more acidic. It will dry out the hair. Always follow up with a deep moisturizing mask to help hydrate your hair.


Garlic:




Garlic has perfect antifungal properties to eliminate dandruff caused by fungi by controlling the secretion of sebum in the scalp.

Method: crush 2 cloves of garlic and mix with water. Apply on your scalp. To reduce the smell of garlic, add honey and ginger. Wash with a mild shampoo, and rinse.

Recommendation: do this every time you start your hair routine.




Aspirin:



Aspirin is a pain releaver medication which contains salicylic acid. Salicylic acid can help exfoliate excess dandruff flakes, prevent oil buildup ( one cause of dandruff), and can also help reduce the inflammation of the scalp.

Method: Crush 3 aspirin tablets until you get a powder and mix with hot water. Let the solution cool and put it in a spray bottle. spray your scalp and let sit for 20 minutes. Wash with a mild shampoo and then continue with your routine.

Recommendation: do this every time you start your hair routine.
